Todd Johnson, Team Manager
Co-Owner: Surf Camp Pacifica
Growing up in Pacifica, Ca I was introduced to the ocean at a young age. My Dad being an avid surfer and fisherman I was at the beach a lot. As I got older surfing became an outlet as well as a competitive sport for me. After high school, I started teaching surf lessons at Linda Mar Beach for Surf Camp Pacifica. Soon after that I started designing and shaping my own boards and having none other than JZ glass them. Turns out JZ had glassed almost every board I ever owned, from Neptunes, to Clarks, to my own Johnson Board Co brand.
In 2012, the sport of wakesurfing turned into one of the fastest growing water sports in the country and I was right there competing, shaping, and coaching the world's best on the World Series of Wakesurfing. Over the years, I've had the privilege to shape and coach for multiple world champions. My boards were honored as the official board of the world series of wakesurfing in 2013 and are still considered some of the best in the sport.
In 2017, I became the Co-Owner and operator of Surf Camp Pacifica. Today, we run our famous summer surf camps along with special events and private lessons.
I feel so blessed and I'm so grateful that surfing has become my career, and I'm honored to officially be part of the JZ Surfboards family.

I was raised in the ocean. Surfing, Fishing and Diving. My dad has always been my biggest influence and supporter of surfing. He has taught me almost everything I know about it. Brittany, another P-Town local also deserves a big thanks! If it wasn’t for her, I wouldn’t have had all the amazing opportunities I do. Ive surfed for as long as I can remember and for surely before I can remember. To say the least, I’m very passionate about the ocean.
In 2019 I went on a surf trip to San Miguel Baja Mexico. This specific surf trip really set my passions in stone. It helped me grow and strive to become better. On our way home I remember dreaming, “it would be so cool to be good enough to get noticed” So, thank you Joel, Andi, and JZ Surfboards for helping me take the first big step to accomplish that dream, I can’t express how grateful I am!
Now, I’m 14 years old and on the Half Moon Bay Surf Team. It’s rad! I have big dreams in surfing. The ocean is my happy place. I love everything about it and all it has to offer. I love the feeling of the wave being built up, the rush of adrenaline, and the beautiful realization that you are about to ride what has developed and come from thousands of miles away just for you to capture its last bit of life in an explosion of energy.
I am so overly stoked to be a part of the JZ Surfboards family. Thank you so much for everything you guys have blessed me with!
